I could not put it down. Life is hard enough without war and prejudice. Trudi found courage and tolerance in the most unlikely places.
This was a great book.

I read it while I was recovering from minor surgery. I could not put it down. Life is hard enough without war and prejudice. Trudi found courage and tolerance in the most unlikely places.<br

We will be discussing this tonight. The characters are so complete hat they just get under your skin and live there. The reaccurring theme that the "fabrication of truth" sustains all people throughout their lives should make everyone really look long and hard at their beliefs, values and morals. Check them once in awhile.

I read it years ago and recommended to my bookclub. We will be discussing this tonight. I would have loved to have read this with a group when I read it years ago, just to have someone to discuss it with.

Hi Trish, Sounds like your book club enjoyed it!
