The James Lipton Questionnaire

I was tagged by Char at Bloody Hell, It’s a Book Barage! to do this James Lipton questionnaire. And this is perfect for us book-ish types.

  1. What is your favorite word? Well right now it’s bloodyhell (I guess that’s cheating putting two words into one), but to be honest I don’t have a favorite word per se. Some words that I like that come to mind are lilting, mnemonic, obstreperous, dingleberry, and fart. Really, though, any word said with a British, Southern, French, or Italian accent is an instantaneous favorite.
  2. What is your least favorite word? Any word that someone rudely corrects my pronunciation of will instantly be a least favorite word. It’s not that I don’t like correction; I do, I just don’t like it when people do it rudely to where I feel dumb.
  3. What turns you on creatively, spiritually or emotionally? Creatively – other people’s ideas. I’m not a creative person by nature so I need inspiration. Spiritually – the story of the prodigal son. Emotionally – I’m a girl…pretty much anything turns me on emotionally. But weird as it is, I was really touched by Josiah Leming from American Idol. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r8vZVnjZ3RM]
  4. What turns you off? People with closed minds.
  5. What is your favorite curse word? Bloody hell. Just kidding. Actually I try really hard not to curse; if I use the f-word, stand back because I am angggry. My substitute curse words are: fudgecicles, crimeny, freaking “a”, and I guess that’s it.
  6. What sound or noise do you love? The sound of coffee being made. I’m not a coffee drinker but I like the sound it makes and the aroma it gives off. OH! I love love love the sound that old watches make, that tick tick tick…I have a few old watches and when I wear one you can often see me holding the watch to my ear to listen to it ticking.
  7. What profession other than your own would you like to attempt? Professional photography. Maybe some day. :)
  8. What profession would you not like to do? I’d rather not be a professional pooper scooper, nor would I like to smell armpits to see how well a new deoderant works. But most of all I wouldn’t want to be in any profession where I had to tell someone they were going to die or that someone close to them had died (physician, police officer). I just don’t think I could handle that, and bravo to people who have the wherewithal to be able to do that.
  9. If Heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the Pearly Gates? I’d like him to say, “It’s okay. I understand. You did your best and that’s all I ask.”

Okay, so I’m going to tag Heather, 3M, Becca, and softdrink.

I’ve also been tagged for a very cool meme by Lisa, but that meme requires a little more brainpower, so I’ll be getting to that one in the next day or two.
