He is a good storyteller and his books are usually page turners. Not deep, but fits the bill sometimes. I had the pleasure of listening to him speak once at UCLA. I loved The Husband and finished it in about a day. Some of his earlier stories Like Twilight Eyes, Midnight, and Lightening were really terrific. I know some people like that with over-inflated egos.
