The other day I went through my bookcases and my TBR shelf…hahaha!! who am I kidding?! I have a TBR BOOKCASE, and a whole review shelf that is threatening to take over a whole bookcase if I don’t read faster. There should definitely be a Twilight Zone where books take over someone’s house and eventually kill the person. They could film it at my house, if they wanted.
I put a bunch of books on bookmooch (and just found out that I inadvertantly switched where two books were supposed to go…oops!) and other books that I can’t be bothered with will go in a garage sale for super cheap. But there was one book that I didn’t think should be relegated to bookmooch OR a garage sale. I’m bummed that I never could get into it. It was mildly interesting, but somehow I seemed to miss the boat on this one.
Stiff by Mary Roach. This is a great copy…it’s just been sitting in my bookshelf for probably over five years. Alas, I’ll never read it after I tried it once and put it down for something more compelling. So I offer it to you, my dear friends. To be entered to win this book, just leave a comment here, and mention that you want this book. But you have to mention it by title.
The second book I’m giving away I feel very guilty about: What If…? by Steve N. Lee. The author approached me about reviewing his book, to which I agreed. I even saw some nice reviews…. Oh look! Bookfool just did a review the other day, and she has super nice things to say. Mrs. S reviewed it about six weeks ago, and I was very excited to read the book based on her review. But after 60 pages, I just wasn’t invested in the book. The story was fairly interesting and there was definitely some action, but there was just something that didn’t make me want to continue reading. And after thinking about my massive TBR pile, I decided it wasn’t worth it to continue on. I hate to waste a good book, though, so I thought I would pass it on to one of you. To be entered to win this book, just leave a comment here, and mention that you want this book. Again, you have to mention it by title.
Based on the author’s request, I will be donating What If…? to a thrift store.
I’ll draw a winner on Thursday evening. Have at it!
