Six Quirky Things About Me Meme

I was tagged a couple of weeks ago by Kim at Bold. Blue. Adventure. for the six quirky things about me meme…

Have I ever told you how much I like getting tagged? No? Well, I like it. A lot.

Anyway, back to what I was saying. Kim at Bold. Blue. Adventure. tagged me…

Have I ever told you how much I like Kim? No? ‘Cause I do. A lot.

ANYWAY, jeez, you’d think I get distracted easily…

Soo, I’ve actually revealed quite a lot of personal stuff on my blog. I like that ’cause it makes me feel closer to you. Makes me feel like we’re bonding. Or something. And I was thinking about this, about how it’s going to get harder and harder for me to come up with things, and I should probably be careful lest I tell you something you didn’t want to know. And don’t think I wouldn’t do that. ‘Cause I would. And I wouldn’t even blush. Okay, THAT’S not true. But the rest is.

The rules are to:

  • Link to the person who tagged me
  • Mention the rules
  • Tell six quirky yet boring, unspectacular details about myself
  • Tag 6 other bloggers by linking to them
  • Go to each person’s blog and leave a comment that lets them know they’ve been tagged
  1. I used to eat Crisco with a spoon and a little bit of brown sugar. Mmm mmm good.
  2. I’ve never seen all the Star Wars movies. I’ve only seen the really important parts, like Luke, I am your fatha.
  3. I’ve never been constipated. Okay, wait, that’s not exactly true, since I had to take some medicine earlier this year when I had gum surgery and the medicine made me constipated. But I’ve never been constipated to the point that it hurt. HAHA!! Bet you didn’t care to know that, now did you? 😛
  4. I take my wedding ring off almost the instant I come in the house. And I take it off whenever I wash my hands. Hopefully I never lose it since the diamonds are irreplaceable…being that they’re Dave’s mom’s and grandmother’s.
  5. My lips are rough. They peel, I guess you could say. It’s hard for me not to chew on them and bite the dead skin off. I recently (within the last 3 years) found a product that I put on my lips, let it dry, and I rub it off, thereby sloughing off the dead skin. That helps.
  6. My Wii age is 30, and I turn 30 in 4 months! *HIGH FIVE*

But enough about me. Let’s talk about what you think about me. NAME THAT MOVIE.

Did I scare anyone off? Was that TMI? I don’t mean to overshare, but I just can’t help myself.

Now to tag 6 other peeps…these are merely suggestions. If I didn’t tag you, I obviously mistyped and meant to tag you, so go ‘head and do it. Doo eet!

Crisco. I think you may be my husband’s long lost sister. He eats sour cream by the spoonful.

I’ve never seen all of the Star Wars movies, either…I fell asleep when my high school boyfriend dragged me to see Episode I in the theater, and I tend to go into snooze mode whenever my dear hubby finds the old ones on TV. You’re not alone!

I am fond of my mother’s pie crust- which is basically crisco, flour, salt, water. That’s it. I used to love eating it raw as a kid. But plain old crisco with sugar on it? Wow. That stuns me. Hubby will eat straight sour cream or mayo tho. He loves that stuff.

Thanks, Trish! Wish I didn’t know that about the Crisco! … but hey, you’ll probably find at least one thing in my six that’s a little freaky:

Thanks for posting this meme. I had quite a bit of fun with it. I’m enamored of you too. 🙂 Avoiding the Star Wars movies for all these years! What’s your secret?

Oh, eck, not sure I wanted to know about the Crisco. But, what a hoot!

I don’t put much stock in the Wii age thing, since I was 65 one day and 35 the next. If you stumble, you age. LOL

Heehee I was this close to closing down the old reader and marking everything as read when I ran across this post.

I have learned not to take off my wedding ring. I did one time to put lotion on my hands, got distracted by the dog… and the next day I realized it was gone. I was convinced after tearing the apartment apart that puppy must have swallowed it, and brought him to the vet. Yeah, $95 later, found out the puppy was perfectly innocent.

So the moral of the story is: don’t get a puppy. But do get one, because really, they are worth the annoyance.

Haha, I love your answers! I can’t believe you actually ate Crisco, but then I am guilty of what people mention above and regularly eat sour cream on a spoon. Also peanut butter. Maybe I should have saved that for my answer?

Anyway, I might take a few days – I want to have some fun with this meme. =)

But WHY do you take your rings off? And where do you put them so you know they won’t get lost?
