The people at Hachette Book Goup USA have GOT to be the nicest people ever. Back in June/early July they did the 14 book giveaway. And now they want to give FIVE people a box of TEN books. It’s called the Back to School Book Bonanza.

The Book of Calamities looks especially interesting. I know sometimes it’s easier just to not think about the horrible things that are going on in the world instead of confronting their reality. I like also that it deals with the resilience of those faced by tragedy.
I would be excited to receive this wonderful prize full of books!

you (I mean I) learn something everyday, but it shouldn’t be surprising, I guess, that people get organized and take advantage of little giveaways. Good for you.

I never (ever) win anything, so I’m more of an entry pig than a prize pig.
Anyway… A Whack in the side of the head is part of a trilogy, along with A Poke in the Side, and A Kick in the Seat of the Pants (I had the cassette tape series 25 years ago). The author (von Oech) earned a doctorate in Creativity from Stanford (back in the 70s).
I also like just about anything Maxwell writes on leadership.

titanic’s last secrets looks really great i had heard about it before and put it on my tbr list but…yeah haven’t gotten around to it : ) but hopefully i can soon enough hehe i would love to get to read those other books too heard of a few but some i hadn’t heard of before. you and hachette books are just too generous so thank you for that : )
