What Scenes Can You Quote?
Ah, I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, and since I already did this to get a bazillion entries into a contest I didn’t end up winning, I’m swallowing my pride and posting this now. My question to you is: What movie scenes can YOU quote?
[Before you watch the video, you must know I don't have a lisp. But I took the video on my rinky dink camera and the audio's not that great. And the lighting wasn't good either, but I didn't care, I just wanted to get my entry in. And my voice gets really high at a couple of points...again, I just wanted to get this done.]

Ah ha ha I knew that this would have to be The Princess Bride.
“Oh my sweet Westley! What have I done?” [thump, thunk, smack, tumble, thump...]

That was funny! I can’t think of anything off the top of my head, but I have seen so many Disney movies over and over again because of my boys, that I’m sure I could quote from them.
Oh, I just remembered one! I can quote large portions of “El Dorado” – the John Wayne movie.
I used to watch it all the time with my dad. “Over the mountains of the moon, down the valley of the shadow, ride Bouldie ride, in search of El Dorado.”
And one of my favorite parts, “Cole Thornton, I don’t like you.” says a woman, “Well I don’t care much miss whether you do or not!” replies John Wayne.

I can recite all of Disney’s Robin Hood and Cinderella, from start to finish. We only had two videos as children.

I only know tiny bits — nothing that long! We quote our favorite movies, all the time. Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and Galaxy Quest are two of our other favorites (yes, The Princess Bride is a big one, around here). Note that William Goldman wrote two of our favorites.

Very funny! You were so brave to put this together and put it on your blog. And Bethany’s right – your dogs were so patient!
My brother and I can quote parts of Ferris Buehler, but that’s about it.

I loooove Papillons, so I’m very jealous of your little puppies!
For awhile, I knew Gladiator almost by heart. That was back in high school, though.
I do know a lot of Sabrina: my favourite scene is the souffle making one!!

You’re so funny! I love The Princess Bride, although I can only quote lines from it and not whole scenes like you. I think the only movies I know whole scenes from are those in the original Star Wars trilogy. Yes, I’m a nerd.

I can do large chunks of Casablanca, but there’s no video to support my claim.
Loved your Princess Bride. Loved the dogs! LOL the joke!

I am a big 80′s movie lover. My husband and I quote dumb lines from movies ALL THE TIME. My favorite dumb line from an 80′s movie is “Pain don’t hurt.” Guess what that is from.
However, the one that I quote the most came later… When Harry Met Sally. I think I identified with Sally at the time that movie came out. The whole friend into lover thing. Anyway, your video was a hoot. Keep the humor coming.

I can quote large chunks of A Knight’s Tale but none so large as the section you quoted. Great job!

Very nice job!
I can quote tons and tons of scenes from “Sleepless in Seattle” and “13 Going on 30,” two of my sister’s and my favorite movies. In fact, we quote them pretty frequently!

I can quote the entire 16 Candles movie. And I have high school notes – pages of written dialogue exchanged with my best friend. Scary, I know.
My son and our carpool friends recite movie lines all the way to school. At 7:00am it’s not so cute.
How could you not win?

Ha, ha, the video was great! Now, let me introduce you to my little friend (Scarface).
You talkin’ to me? (Taxi Driver)
We all live two lives: the life we learn with and the life we live with after that (The Natural).
He has his father’s eyes (Rosemary’s Baby).
The sow is mine (The Exorcist)
and many more…
Also, tons of Monty Python quotes, both from Flying Circus and the movies (especially Holy Grail).
I can imitate nearly every muppet as well. Geez, I really AM a total geek!

Omg that was just awesome! You did an amazing job with that scene and your pups seem like such good sports – too cute.
I could never remember all that dialogue, things that I can quote are random lines from Monty Python and Kevin Smith movies. I’m also good (but really annoying) about being able to scream along on cue with most horror movies from the 80′s

Ha ha, classic! Love that movie. So quotable. I used to have a few Monty Python skits memorized. I really liked the Spam skit. Spam, spam, eggs and spam, bacon and spam… If you’re not a Monty Python fan, sorry for the randomness
