I’ve never had “outside” help in the house. I must admit, my husband is very good about helping with the dishes every night after dinner. If I could just get him to pick up the vacuum….

I’ve never had professional help in the home, though I’d love it. I ask my husband every Mother’s Day to hire a cleaning service for a good deep clean. That would be the perfect gift. Still haven’t had one though.

We have a cleaning lady come once a week. It’s common where I live and I must say that I love it. We’re both so busy with all sorts of activities that if we didn’t have her we’d probably kill each other over who has to do the cleaning! I realise I’m very lucky and I appreciate it!

I’d love to win this book so count me in, if international entries are allowed!

Never heard of this book before, but you make it sound wonderful. Plus, I’ve just finished The Secret Life of Bees, which left me wanting to stay in the same setting… If you accept international entries I’m in (and, oh, I’ve never owned an autographed book!)
As for your question, I’ve never had “help”… until now, that is. I’ve just moved to a new apartment, and the people who live here have a cleaning lady coming every week. I hate it

I’ve come so close to picking up this book so many times. After reading your review, I know I won’t be able to pass it up again!
My mom has a cleaning woman come once every few weeks to clean our house and I’ve always been somewhat uncomfortable with it. I was raised to want to pitch in whenever there were other people working, so I’m always tempted to just grab a rag and help out. When I don’t I feel like a lazy, over-privileged brat who can’t do her own cleaning… which is strange because I promise it’s not the case. I guess I just feel guilty!

I’ve never had hired help, but there are times I wish I did. Then I feel guilty because it’s not like our house is huge, but keeping things up can just be so tedious!

Never had hired help but get hubby and kids to pitch in.
