I have a copy of her book on my shelf, but haven't yet read it, and now I am so looking forward to it. She comes across as a really unique and talented individual, and I thought her tea ceremony idea was wonderful!

I loved this interview! I was leaning toward reading the collection based on Trish's review, but the interview pushed me over the edge. The book is now on my list!

Super interview. I am often amazed when reading stories set in complete fiction in that everything is remade. I'm such a reader (as opposed to a writer ) and wouldn't know where to begin in creating another time/place. Maybe that's why I'm so in love with a shop that goes so far as to pick my beverage for me. :) Thank you both for a great interview.

What a fun, spirited interview! I went to an Italian restaurant in Seattle once that was kind of like that. They had menus, but they didn't hand them out. It was a small little eatery, and the chef would come out and talk to you for a few minutes and then go back and make you something. The food was incredible, and I've been kicking myself for years because I didn't write down the name of the restaurant when we were there. This was a very entertaining interview to read. I like how the author discussed loving writing vs. needing to write. It's nice to know that writing can be difficult even for the pros. :)

I love the idea of a cafe that serves what they think you need.
