This isn't hypothetical - she would either kill me or leave me upon learning that I got to read Catching Fire first.Otherwise, I would give up the same creature comforts that I forfeited when reading Hunger Games. After reading the first book hunched over for six hours straight, I'd lost feeling in my tush, and couldn't move my stiff neck. More importantly, I knew I'd resigned myself to nearly a year of waiting to find out what happens next. Reading Catching Fire will be even worse - all the physical discomfort coupled with knowing that I can't do anything to hasten the arrival of book #3.Somehow these discomforts still seem worth it, so please pick me.Also, you should definitely host a midnight release parties. They're amazing. For the last Harry Potter book I went to an all-night party featuring Wizard Rock bands, and there's nothing comparable to the feeling of being surrounded by throngs of energetic fans, and then retiring alone, poring over the pages in solitude, before calling up your friends to share reactions. I know the Hunger Games haven't built up quite the same fan following, but they never will unless people like you start hosting parties! I would give up the love of my life.
