It's cute until I go to make cookies and there aren't any chips. Your husband probably isn't trying to make cookies so it's not a problem. And while you think a cleaning lady would help, cleaning for the cleaning lady is another level of stress altogether. I'd be totally willing to do those things if someone made me a stack of pie crusts for my freezer... The other way to do it is to get a group of people together and everyone group-cleans one house per weekend. It's like a painting party - the whole thing is done top to bottom in maybe one hour. If you have enough people, you can even get someone to clean the oven or defrost the freezer. We should start a cleaning swap.
