I'm pretty sure you're new to my blog, so I'd like to encourage you to subscribe to my RSS feed. I generally talk about books, authors, blogging, and life. Feel free to poke around; I think you'll really enjoy it! Thanks for visiting!
I’ve been working on the read-a-thon for the past 12 hours, so my eyes are shot. Staring at a computer screen is not conducive to good eyesight.
I’m going to try to stay up for the rest of the 24 hours (6 to go!), but no promises. I’ll do the best I can. I’m an old lady.

Hour The Fifth
What I ate: Nothing, but my husband woke up so I sent him to the store for bacon and Double Stuff Oreos
What I read: 36 pages of Twilight. Edward’s hot.
What I did besides read: I set a timer for 6 minutes and did some dishes. I have to get up, stretch, and focus my eyes on things other than a printed page.
How I’m feeling: Great!
Hour The Sixth
What I ate: Waffles and bacon. Yum! I cooked it and because my shift for co-hosting starts at the seventh hour I just took my time.
What I read: Nothing. I have to work now.
What I did besides read: Cooked and ate.
How I’m feeling: Bummed I have to set Bella and Edward aside.

What I ate: Nothing, but as soon as my husband wakes up, I’m totally seeing if we can have waffles.
What I read: 46 pages of Twilight. It’s really good. I don’t think I’ll be reading much besides this today.
What I did besides read: I set a timer for 6 minutes and did some dishes. I’ll be doing the same thing again as soon as I post this. I have to get up, stretch, and focus my eyes on things other than a printed page.
How I’m feeling: Great! Way better than hour 2.

This hour’s going better than the last. I’m sitting up on the couch, not lying down, and that’s helping.
What I ate: nothing, but I’m starting to crave more breakfast. I’m thinking about waffles. Yum. With butter and syrup. Mmmmmm.
What I read: 40 pages in Twilight. Better than last hour. And I’m totally digging the book. It’s not great, but it’s good.
What I did besides read: Petted and forced the dogs to do a little snuggling.
How I’m feeling: I can’t believe it’s 8am already.

I wish I could come up with some kind of interesting title. All I can think of is Raych’s titles from last year, she did something like Hour The First or Hour The One. It amused me.
What I ate: nothing
What I read: 30 pages in Twilight
What I did besides read: did the free rice thingy for Dewey, emailed a mini-challenge host. For some reason I feel the need to justify why I only read 30 pages this hour.
How I’m feeling: I’m tired. I want to go to bed. I may have to take a nap before my shift as a co-host for the read-a-thon begins. I have to be on my best game, right?
