Who’s Lucky Now?
I should preface this post by explaining something: I have been trolling the Internet for free books. When I realized people give away books, I thought, “Shucks! I want free books!” Obviously, with the amount of time I spend on the Internet (it’s just ungodly…and I’m not about to admit how much time that is), I was bound to win something eventually. But as luck would have it, I found out I won two different books on the same day. Now that was a pretty rockin’ day (and it was a Monday to boot!). These are the books I won:
First I got an email from Ed Hardy, author of Keeper and Kid, that I won a copy of his book! Woohoo!
The book is about a 30-something man who finds out when his ex-wife passes away that they had had a kid together that she hadn’t told him about. So he now has custody of a 3-year-old child and has to figure out how to father on-the-fly. ”It leaves the reader with a true, but too rarely expressed, picture of how complicated life can become and how we all have the capacity to handle more than we think.” Doesn’t that sound interesting?
Then, later in the day, Nancy from Bookfoolery and Babble leaves a comment on my blog saying I’d won The Bleeding Dusk by Colleen Gleason (or one of the other two books she has, my choice). Holy moly!
I can’t wait to get these books…I’ve got a lot of reading to do!
So that’s the backstory as to why I’ve been feeling so generous lately… ![]()

Oh I’m so jealous about The Bleeding Dusk book! I’ve read the first two, and for my first foray into vampire/romance, they were pretty good. Hope you enjoy your free books.
You really should go buy a lottery ticket, things happen in threes.

Trish, I won Keeper and Kid, too! Maybe we can read it at the same time. Let me know when you get it! I’ve been signing up for every contest I can find. i think I won that one from authorbuzz.com, and I also got an email directly from the author. He agreed to be interviewed for my blog, too.. how cool is that??
