Me? Mwah?!

I’ve been watching with interest this award going around. I love these kinds of awards because I invariably discover a blog that I don’t know how I could have been living without it…so on to the Google Reader it goes (ahhh! I just checked my Google Reader subscriptions…61 subscriptions!! You people have to stop being so fun to read.).
Then, Eva from A Striped Armchair announces she’s moving to Monterey to go to grad school, and of course I had to congratulate her and be very excited that she’ll be a mere two hours away from me (two hours in California is nothin’), and it was because of this comment that I received the Mwah! award. That was so nice of her!
Here’s the background: The point of the Mwah! award is “to hand some of that love and kindness back around to those who have been so very, very, very good to me in this bloggy world. My hope is that those who receive this award will pass it on to those who have been very, very, very good to them as well. It’s a big kiss, of the chaste platonic kind, from me to you with the underlying ‘thanks’ message implied. I really do appreciate your support and your friendship and yes, your comments. … Mwah!”
I think you’re supposed to tag 10 people, but I’ll just see how far I get:
- Lisa at Books on the Brain. She’s soo nice and I love her reviews and if we lived closer together I think we’d be friends (the actual person-to-person kind
as opposed to blog friends, which is nice, but I’d definitely hang out with her on the weekends). - I’ve got to send it right back to Eva at A Striped Armchair, who does great reviews and I want to be just like her when I grow up (and just because I’m older than her doesn’t mean I can’t be like her when I grow up).
- Wendy at caribousmom is soo nice, too. I had a question recently and she gave me all the information I needed and I don’t know how she is able to convey so much niceness through email, but she does an awesome job of seeming to be the nicest person in the world.
- Care at Care’s Online Book Club. She’s just, oh, how do I say this? She’s just nice and real. Recently she posted about procrastinating calling someone about starting a book club, and I procrastinate all the time and reading her describe it made me laugh.
- Heather at A High and Hidden Place. The first time I saw her blog she was having a “moment of silence” for her last day of being in her 20s and I thought it was so cute and I just might borrow that idea because I turn 30 this year too (but not until later) and she had a contest and you had to guess the book she had a snapshot of and it’s not my favorite book but it’s my absolute favorite movie and I think I should stop gushing now.
- raidergirl3 at An Adventure in Reading ’cause she’s just so nice too and I like her reviews.
And I won’t hold it against her that she liked Atonement.
- Jeane at Dog Ear Diary. I just like her blog and her reviews and her comments. Need I say more?
- Melanie at lit*chick. When I read her blog for the first time, I was like “Where have you been all my life?!” (okay, and I really just mean my blogging life and since I haven’t been blogging that long, then I guess she hasn’t been missing from my life very long, but still)
- Stephanie at The Written Word. I’m feeling kinda silly gushing about everyone, but I love this blog. I want to be this blog. Okay, maybe not the blog. I want to be Stephanie. She’s so nice and I love her reviews and I envy all the books she gets for free and she’s answered a couple of questions I had and I know she’s already gotten the Mwah! award but I just had to put her in here.
- Stephanie at Confessions of a Bookaholic. I just love her. I don’t know what else to say.
I really really tried to mention people who hadn’t been mentioned yet, so if you’re reading this and you haven’t been mentioned, consider yourself Mwah’d! I love you man!

Aww-you’re so sweet! I’m blushing over here. And I’m a Texan, so two hours isn’t anything to me either.
