My OCD Just Had a Flare-up
When Dave and I went on our honeymoon, I didn’t check emails or read any blogs via my Google Reader. I’ve been catching up, but I still had over 500 posts to wade through. I was enjoying it, though, as my OCD wouldn’t allow me to “mark all as read” without having actually read all the posts (or at least skimming them).
I have an iGoogle homepage, and when I clicked on the CALENDAR, which is on the OPPOSITE side of the Google Reader widget, it “mark[ed] all as read.” GAH! My OCD does not like the fact that I haven’t read everyone’s posts. It’s all I can do not to go through each and every 200+ blogs to make sure I’ve read everything…but even my OCD knows that’s unreasonable.
I think some alcohol is in order.

Oh I know that feeling! On the other hand, I’m so glad to hear you didn’t check email while you were on your honeymoon!

I have the same issue! I have to at least read the first part of everything even if I know I am not interested. LOL

You’re like me. I can’t hit clear until I make sure I haven’t missed anything, especially those with my special “pay attention to these people” tag. I get more and more behind every day and it’s tempting to just start over.
