Slanket Giveaway
Contest is closed! The winners can be found at the Slanket Winners post.
Have you ever put on your warm robe over your clothes, grabbed a blanket and put that over your body, and then sat down to read, watch tv, knit, or whatever? Or have you ever been reading with a blanket, trying to keep your arms as much under the blanket as you can, but the blanket keeps falling to around your chest because your arms have to be free to hold a book?
YOU WILL NEVER HAVE THESE PROBLEMS AGAIN.
I ordered a Slanket because I’ve had all kinds of problems with trying to keep my heating bill low but still stay warm while I’m reading or knitting. I’ve got a really warm robe…but it only comes down to my knees! I’ve got really warm blankets…but somehow they never keep my arms warm.
Oh, if you only knew how brilliant a Slanket is. It’s my blanket of choice now, no matter what I’m doing. My husband initially made fun of it, but now he uses it whenever I’m not. Who knew he’d need his own Slanket??
I love my Slanket. It’s huge, so my feet never start poking out if the blanket moves around. My arms are warm, but I still have freedom of movement. It’s made well, I love the fabric…it’s so warm and snuggly! OH! I could wax rhapsodic.
I obviously don’t want to bad mouth another company, but let me just tell you that someone who has a Slanket, then went out and bought basically the same thing that has a very similar name, was very embarassed by the poor quality of the non-Slanket product (she was going to give this non-Slanket to a friend as a gift but changed her mind after seeing the quality). Let the buyer beware: you get what you pay for.
Now to entertain you, here’s some pics of me in my Slanket.
Now for the giveaway!
I have TWO Slankets to giveaway: one I bought myself for you (which is royal blue just like mine so we can be Slanket twins) (which Dave is threatening to keep for himself, but I promise to pry it out of his hands), and the other the company will be providing. So not only do their products rock, but so do their peeps. Slanket, you’re rocking my world.
For one entry: Leave a comment on this post telling me about your favorite blanket. I only ask you to do this because once you get the Slanket, that “favorite blanket” will get thrust in a corner and start collecting dust. If you leave a comment that does not talk about your favorite blanket, you will be disqualified. If you don’t have a favorite blanket, that’s okay, just say so.
For one additional entry: Either subscribe to this blog or let me know that you already subscribe.
For five additional entries:
- Tweet about this contest! Come back and leave a comment with the link to the tweet so I know you’ve done this.
- Stumble this post.
For ten additional entries:
- Blog about this giveaway. Putting it in your sidebar doesn’t count.
- Email five friends to tell them about this giveaway and cc me on the email. Here’s my email: trish.heylady {at} gmail {dot} com.
Good luck! The contest will be open until March 3rd, at which time I will close the comments, tally up your entries, and leave the fate of the winners in the hands of random.org.
ETA: WHOOPS! Forgot to mention that my slanket is only open to US and Canada. I haven’t asked Slanket about what they want to do with their half of the giveaway, so you can take a chance with them, but me, well, I just can’t send this thing halfway around the world. Sowy.

I think if I had a favorite blanket, it would be the one I crocheted for my fiance. It’s definitely my best work and he came up with an interesting pattern for it, so it looks better than my originals, which largely go from color to color based on what yarn I had at the time.
I’ve been your follower for ages! And I twittered about it: http://twitter.com/mbookworm/status/1230145600 I stumbled it too, but I’m a bit stupid with SU and don’t know how to show you that.

You are too funny! I’m so glad you posted the pictures!
My favorite blanket is made of sweatshirt material. It’s blue and white tye-die with a big Penn State emblem on it!
Thanks for the giveaway!

My very favorite blanket is made out of this purple fleece with multicolored treble clefs and music notes all over it. One of my friends in college sewed edging on it that matched the treble clefs, and it makes me grin every time I use it.
Oh, and I’ve been reading your blog via my Google Reader for AGES now.
February 20th, 2009 at 4:50 am
I have a fuzzy maroon “throw” that I use when I read in the evenings. This throw goes with me on trips and even to places like football games. If that throw is on my lap, so is our dog, because she loves it too. You are in my google reader.

You’re not messing around with people who don’t follow directions, are you? Good for you.
Okay, so my favorite blanket is a giant red fleece thing that I’ve had forever. I can stay pretty warm reading under it if I just lay on my side, but it fails the knitting test if I want to keep my arms warm.
I tweeted you and like cecily I’ve had you in my google reader FOREVER (you even made it in the ‘favorite book blogs’ folder when I finally organized).

I have TWO favorite blankets, Trish. Mostly because I’m an official FREEZE BABY. Which makes my living in NE Ohio all the more tortuous! But, back to the favorite blankets. I have one that is absolutely stunning and my sister bought it for me in Africa of all places. It stays on my sofa because the cats can’t destroy this one and it’s the warmest thing I have. So when I’m reading on the sofa, I’m in sweats, probably a turtleneck, big thick socks and my African blanket. The other blanket is a fleece blanket my grandmother made me before fleece was popular. It’s a double layer blanket…I think she used stuff she had left over because it’s a dark pink on one side and a pale blue on the other. The cats also love this blanket and haven’t done anything to destroy it. It stays on my bed on top of the comforter which covers my flannel sheets – see…FREEZE BABY!
Now I’ll go Twitter because I love this slanket idea!
February 20th, 2009 at 5:25 am
I have been seeing these and wanting to get one, but thought, why do I need another blanket? Then, to hear you praise it, I know I need it! Anyway, I digress. I do have a favorite blanket. It is hospital issue and it’s blue. My BIL was in the hospital 4 years ago and my husband and I slept on the floor in the waiting room, so the hospital gave us blankets and pillows. My BIL did not make it out of the hospital, so I took the blanket when we left and dubbed it my “Rusty” blanket.

I don’t have a favorite blanket; I just depend on my chenille robe, and warm slippers – not always sufficient. I’m sure I’d love a Slanket.

Favourite blanket, huh. I don’t really have ONE. There are several that I love, the warmer and cozier the better. I’d love to get my hands on one for these funky blanket robe thingys!!! Thanks so much for hosting this giveaway
Oh, and LOVE the pictures too!
February 20th, 2009 at 6:36 am
My favorite blanket is kind of dorky looking, but oh so comfy! It is this huge, soft, thick, fleece blanket and it is maroon and it has these hideous leaves all over it! But I bought it because it was like $4.00 once at Kohl’s and I needed a comfy blanket – sure enough this one is it…..though my arms always freeze

My favorite blanket is an old quilt my Grandma Reba made. It is a very utilitarian quilt, made just to keep you warm, and it is not pretty at all. It has an orange background, with a flannel green plaid design (made from one of my Grandpa Roy’s old shirts.) I run my hand over the flannel and think of my Grandpa, and touch the un-even stitching and think of my Grandma. Although I have other nicer quilts, blankets, and afghans, this one is my favorite.
February 20th, 2009 at 6:42 am
I have two favorite blankets. The first is a fuzzy blue one with an odd pattern on it. But it’s so soft, but especially heavy. I need heaviness. My other favorite is one of those tie blankets. My sister made it for me for sitting outside at soccer games – polar fleece. Love it even for the inside. Also very soft and heavy.

My favorite blanket is a fleece one made by a friend. I use it every night when we’re watching TV or a movie. My husband really wishes that he could use it. If get the Slanket, it’ll be his. And BLUE is my very favorite color.

OK, I made fun of this thing when I saw the commercials (how could it be cozier than the afghan my mom crocheted for me?) but now I just might be a convert! We’ll tweet about it.
February 20th, 2009 at 7:28 am
My husband makes fun of those when he sees them in the commercial, but I’d love one. What a great contest.
My favorite blanket is this big yellow fluffy blanket I had as a young child. It was so fluffy that I loved to play with it, and I’d constantly pull little bits of fibers off of it. I actually got one stuck in my eye and had to have it removed in the doctor’s office. I don’t remember much about that other than my parents holding me still in the doctor trying to pull out the fuzz. I still have the blanket, though its really old and not in good condition so I don’t use it anymore.

My only favorite blanket I have is one I pretty much sit on and look at,lol. Hubby got it for me before Christmas and I drape it on my rocking chair and I keep it there just incase I need something warm while I am reading. I have seen these all over the TV and they are pretty cool.
February 20th, 2009 at 7:48 am
My favorite blanket is an old quilt my grandmother made when I was small. She included squares of cloth patterns she’d also used to make clothes for us, so looking at the quilt years later I would always remember a dress or shirt she’d made for me or my sisters with the same material. Now that quilt is rather thin, and sit on my daughter’s bed.
Is the slanket better than the snuggie? (or was it called snuggle?) I keep seeing ads for those on tv, but I never heard of the slanket before. It looks soooo comfy!
February 20th, 2009 at 8:05 am
My favorite blanket is a soft snuggly throw that I picked up at Target recently. If only it had sleeves! I’ve seen infomercials for something similar, but always thought it was a bit odd – great to see that it’s actually useful.
Also – I’m a subscriber to your blog.

1. My favorite blanket is the Pottery Barn quilt I bought when I was in grad school. It’s since been relegated to the back of my couch, as I’ve graduated from a twin bed to a queen. But it’s still my favorite to curl up under when I’m reading on the couch (and it’s beautiful–browns, oranges and mauves in a western-inspired patchwork).

Count me in! I actually have two favorite blankets. One, my mom crocheted for me when I was 5. It’s Denver Bronco colors. However, I’m a huge Packer fan, so mom bought me a Packer blanket a few years later. I’ve slept every single night since then with both of them. (Yup…I’m 30 and still sleep with my blankies!)

But I’m trying to win the slanket for my wife… it’d be a nice little surprise.
February 20th, 2009 at 8:20 am
Trish, I have that exact same problem with trying to read with a blanket and my hands getting cold! My favorite blanket is a denim blanket my mom made for me.

First of all, I subscribe in Google Reader.
Secondly, this is ridiculous but awesome.
My favorite blanket is this hideous 1970s orange, green, brown, and yellow afghan that was made forever and a day ago by hubby’s grandma. It’s ugly but super comfortable, and we have to hide it when hubby’s brother comes to visit because has attempted to steal it more than a few times.
February 20th, 2009 at 9:01 am
Oh I have wanted one of these so bad but Cory always picks on how extra nerdy they will make me! I say nerd away!
My favorite blanket is a quilt that my mom had hand made for me by an Amish community in Indiana. It is the best quilt ever I swear! Plus what an awesome memory!
Thanks Trish!

I want a slanket so bad.
My favorite blanket is the quilt my grandmother made me for college. We don’t really get along, my grandmother and I, but the blanket she made me is so beautiful and fits my taste so well. It meant a lot to me, that even though we aren’t the best of granddaughters and grandmothers, she still knew me well enough and could look past our disagreements to make the quilt for me. It’s on my bed and I sleep with it every night.

My favorite blanket is actually not a blanket at all! It’s a crocheted afghan that my grandmother made me when I was a young teen. She died when I was 16 and I got all emotional about it so the afghan was in storage for a long time. It’s not big enough to wrap around me as I read, so I just keep in on the back of a chair so I can look at it.

My favorite blanket is one that my mother made for me before I went to college. I’ve had it for almost 20 years and it is starting to get a bit tattered, but I’ll keep it forever!
February 20th, 2009 at 10:48 am
ooooh, a slanket sounds just about right!! I am a bit cold right now so I expect that I will soon throw over my favourite blanket – I can see it now – a white felty thing that lives on the back of the sofa until I need it.
p.s. I have you in my feedreader!!
February 20th, 2009 at 11:05 am
I just threw away my favorite blanket. I’d had this blanket for 24 years. It was a blue and white colored comforter that got so old and started ripping that when I was in high school, my mom sewed a sheet (black and white striped) to the back of it to keep the filling inside lol. It was so bad lately that my husband and I would sleep and our feet would get tangled up inside the blanket because the sheet was ripped and tattered. Oh how I would love a new favorite blanket!

My favorite blanket is a Barefoot Dreams blanket I’ve had so long the color has faded from a light pink to a weird dingy beige. It’s super warm, but way too short for me – which is why the Slanket looks so rad! Anyway – great giveaway and I’m already a subscriber. Thanks!

I SO need one of these! Our house is very old and very drafty! My favorite blanket to use is, believe it or not, a comforter I bought specifically for when I’m on the couch. It’s that cold! I always have the problem of my arms getting cold though when i read or when I’m on the computer.

My grandmother is now 94 and can’t crochet anymore so everything she has made for me means a lot, but this ugly non-matching green and yellow blanked means the most!

I’m a subscriber to your blog and have stumbled this post.
February 20th, 2009 at 4:31 pm
Ha ha!!! I go through this every day, no matter how many blankets I pull up…my arms eventually are out, sometimes I try to read and snack on my trailer mix then all bets are off. I have a roommate who’s house it is, so if I do not want my rent to go up 66 degrees it stays…brrrrrrrrrrrrrr
Looks “nifty” (“cool” is the wrong word for this, it is supposed to keep us warm)
Have a great week-end and keep warm
February 20th, 2009 at 4:37 pm
Okay…. so I follow you on my google reader.
My favorite blanket was “blankie”, which was originally pink, but eventually became a dingy gray-ish color. It had the silk edging which I lovingly referred to as my tinsel. I would suck my thumb and rub the tinsel against my nose. The tinsel eventually tore off and then I would just tie it around my fingers. I slept with blankie and tinsel until I was eight years old. At the age of eight, I was mistakenly led to believe that I had left tinsel in a hotel room during a family vacation only to discover, some three of four years later that tinsel was safely snug in my father’s glove compartment. I will never forgive my parents for this dirty trick!!
And I am adding my link on twitter http://twitter.com/msmazzola

I have a Martha Stewart throw that I bought on sale at Kmart for $3 that I use to put over my lap when I’m reading or using the computer. But like you, it doesn’t keep my arms warm. If I had a Slanket, I’d give this throw to the kitties cuz their arms are always warm.

Have been wondering about those slankets ! I am sooo tired of being cold ! Maybe this would help ? My current favorite blanket is a quilt my Mom made me before she passed on … she used fabric from all the projects I have done … very sentimental and sappy …. I love it !

My favorite blanket has seen better days, it is quite old and has orange tigers on it. I would love to own a Slanket.

my favorite blanket is an old purple comforter that is so soft and warm. I love throwing it over me on the couch and reading.
February 20th, 2009 at 8:02 pm
My favorite blanket is a woven one of Monet’s waterlilies painting, that my m-i-l got for my oldest son when he was a newborn. Every once in a while we tell him it’s his, so he’ll know to take it with him when he moves out.

My favorite blanket is a big fleece-y rectangle that my grandma made for me about 15 years ago!
February 20th, 2009 at 8:30 pm
My favorite blanket was “Blankie,” a crocheted baby blanket that I received upon my arrival in the dresser drawer I slept in for the first few days of my life. Blankie was white. She was soft. She was square, about 3′x3′. I slept with her every night of my childhood and adolescence. I took her to college. I even took what remained of her (after 25 years) on my honeymoon. One night, my (now-ex) husband asked me when I was going to stop sleeping with my security blanket. “As soon as she’s completely disintegrated,” I told him. The next morning, I found the last 8 inches of her unraveled on the bed. Bastard.
I still miss her.

I like my Harley Davidson fleece blanket. Thank you for the giveaway.
February 20th, 2009 at 8:52 pm
ahhhh…my favorite blanket.
Well, it’s a little thing I bought while in the Navy. Those military issue wool blankets didn’t cut it…so while in San Diego, me and the guys headed down to Tijuana and I saw what everyone was raving about. The “Mexican” blanket about 1/2 inch thick wool and soft…not scratchy like military.
So for about $1.50 I bought one.
That was over 20 years ago and I still have that comfy thing and won’t go anywhere without it.

I have an incredibly soft throw that I love. It’s a beautiful green. Being warm and cozy is important when you settle in for a good read.
February 20th, 2009 at 9:47 pm
My favorite ‘blankie’ is a thin comforter green on one side and black on the other. Its thin because its so old and worn and frayed. But for some reason we still keep it on the bed next to us (covered by a nicer prettier comforter). My husband is just as attached to it as I am. Its so soft and comforting but not warm.
February 20th, 2009 at 10:16 pm
My favorite blanket is a Cleveland Indians baseball furry blanket that I bought years ago at Bed, Bath & Beyond and it’s seen way better days. I usually have to wrestle the cat for it at night when I’m watching tv and then I’m covered in cat hair too.

Oh — I forgot to write about my favorite blanket. It’s my soft chocolate-brown chenille one. The kids and I curl up in it on cold mornings and it never shows hot chocolate stains!
February 21st, 2009 at 7:40 am
My favorite blanket is an old pink wool one with satin trim that came from my grandmother’s house.
BTW, have you seen “The Cult of the Snuggie” on YouTube?
February 21st, 2009 at 8:33 am
I started a quilt but never finshed it. I gave a bunch of fabric to a old teacher and she finshed for me as a wedding gift. The marriage ended but the quilt will last forever
February 21st, 2009 at 11:14 am
Oh I’ve wanted one of these ever since I’ve heard about it!
I don’t know if I have an absolute favourite blanket but I do love the big fluffy comforters we have. We have a tiger one, a wolf one and a polar bear one and the kids each have a different dog one too. I prefer the tiger.

Oh my – I kind of want to win because part of me thinks I really would love it just as much as you do, and part of me doesn’t want to win for the very same reason! I would be like your husband – the original scoffer who turns into the evangelical convert.
OK, I do actually qualify for two entries, because a) my current favorite blanket is a crimson fleece throw that I like because it is so soft, and my cavernous living room is always so cold, but it’s also just a wee bit short, so if my feet are warm, my shoulders are cold, and vice versa.
I also subscribe to your blog (well, I have it listed on my blogroll – does that count?)
Thanks for posting the pics and giving the slanket such an ardent show of support – you’ve probably won over quite a few people in the process, myself included, haha.
February 21st, 2009 at 1:25 pm
My favorite blanket actually had a name, Banky. Banky has seen better days and was eventually retired and when I say retired I mean lost. I thought my life had ended. But it didn’t and my new favorite blanket is a bright red chenille throw with fringe on the edges that my dog likes to chase. I love it because it has a bit of weight to it so it feels good on the chest. I should win because I had you linked to my new blog, I have emailed your site to an English professor and poet, and I stumbled it. And I really should win because I am currently in Spain and it is really cold and I am currently without my favorite blanket. Many thanks, Kate

I have an old quilt that I have had for 34 years. It is so worn, mended and ragged that it is almost beyond repairing. But, when I’m reading on the couch, it is what I reach for to cover me. The one you are giving away might be just what I need to replace my old one.
February 21st, 2009 at 2:25 pm
My favorite blanket is my baby blanket. I’ve had it since I was born and it’s so soft and worn now that it’s pleasing to hold. It’s not very big though, so for warmth I have a throw sized down blanket on my reading chair.

Oh, I can’t resist this! I hadn’t even heard of the Slanket until a friend posted a mock commercial making fun of it on Facebook a while back, and evne though the commercial was totally making fun of the concept, I kept thinking, “I NEED that!!!”
Anywho, my favorite is a soft grey fleece throw I got for Christmas a couple of years ago. Very soft, but my arms still get cold when I reading, so I have the slanket lust.
I do subscribe on Google reader.

We’ve seen these on tv and my kids want one SO BAD! And I keep telling them, that’s silly- put a sweatshirt on top and a blanket over your legs! But NOOOOO They want a Slanket! And now I have to tell them Aunt Trish has one (hahaha they know all about you, my dear) and of course they will want to see the pictures!
Fave. blankie. I don’t have one now but I did growing up. It was pink and had a name- Boo. My mother used to play Peek a Boo with me so that’s how it got it’s name. I used to get very upset when she’d wash it because it would smell funny afterward (clean, haha).
My kids have fave. blankies and they have names too.. K’s is “ya-ya” and is threadbare from all the love! L’s is “Softie” made by her grandma from a material called “cuddleskin” the softest stuff ever made.
February 21st, 2009 at 4:19 pm

My favorite blanket is the thermal one I’ve had for 10 years and it does look 10 years old. Its pretty ratty but it keeps me warm in winter and cool in summer. I need a Slanket because I don’t let anyone see my thermal. Thank you!
February 21st, 2009 at 7:01 pm
My favorite blanket was one that I had when I was a child. It was blue with a flowered satin border. I drug it around until I was 6, my mother hated it.
Please include me in your drawing, the book sounds great.

My favorite blanket is something that I got for Christmas from my husband. He had someone make me a quilt (in my favorite color) & he had me pick out pictures that I loved that would tell my story. I didn’t know what the pictures were going to be used for but I picked out about 125 and they were put on the quilt with special fabric. He said that I love my pictures because of the memories that they invoke & I cover up every night while we are watching tv so it was the best of both worlds. Needless to say, I cried like a baby because it is the most special gift I have ever received.
February 21st, 2009 at 7:47 pm
I’ve had several favorite blankets through the years. My mom’s a quilter–so I’ve grown up with plenty I guess you could say. My mom made me a quilt back when I was in junior high that used a lot of fabric from my old dresses. I also helped pick out the other fabrics used for it. I had it on my bed for years until it fell apart in most places. But it was filled with so much love and so many memories.

My favorite blankey is now very old and needs to thrown in the nearest corner and forgotten about, we use to use it on our bed it’s green and white and my husband hates it and he hates seeing it on me when i’m one the couch with it. Everyone eles has their own up-to-date blankey but me i just have that old green and white one that everyone tells me how ugly it is when ever they see me using it. I would love to win this very wonderful excellent blankey for reading and watching my favorite movie and i’m sure everyone would be very happy for me to put my current blankey to rest!

My favorite blanket is fleece with roses and leaves printed on it. It is very soft and cozy for when I sit and read. The problem is my cat loves it too so it is always covered in cat hair. If I had the slanket then I would have my own and my cat could claim the rose blanket all for himself
February 22nd, 2009 at 8:53 am
My favorite blanket is a purple microfiber blanket. It is about 50″ X 60″. I should buy one that is at least twin sized to use in my chair. That’s what I did for my husband.

My favorite blankie is my comfort off of our bed. I have had this comfort for I think 12 yrs now…wow. It is not one of those fancy ones you have to show off when the bed is made, well I guess it was at one time, like when it was new, yet because it has been washed so many times if is so snuggly and not stiff like a normal bedspread or comfort can be. I love this blanket and snuggle up with it at night. It is just the right weight, not to heavy and not to light. It is thou, not the most pratical thing to drag around the house, so my very own o-be-one-ka-no-bie would be awesome!!! Like you Trish, I too have problems with keeping the house bill low and staying warm, so my poor husband usually sees me padding around the house in my footie pj’s.
Thanks for this discovery and this offer!!!!

I have my old blanket that my husband and I got when we were just dating almost 13 years ago. I only use it when I know I can get relaxed because the only trouble I have feeling good with it is that my husband and I both want it and I don’t want to share.
February 22nd, 2009 at 11:06 am
My favorite blanket for reading is a down-filled throw, so basically I have to wear something warm because it doesn’t keep my arms warm at all. The slanket looks like a wondrous, glorious, cuddly miracle. I have a feeling I’d be wearing it all the time when it’s cold.
February 22nd, 2009 at 12:30 pm
My favorite blanket is a quilt that one of my BF made me for a wedding present. It is TRULY gorgeous and 20 years later it is SO comfy and cozy!! Plus, it has just great memories–I just think of my friend and all of the time she spent making it for us. I will NEVER get rid of it

I got my current favorite blanket for Christmas a few years ago. It is incredibly soft. It is just the right amount of cozy to melt into. I went to buy a second one after Christmas. The pricetag was hefty for a blanket, so I did not get my husband one.
The Slanket will be all mine. He can have the other one.
February 22nd, 2009 at 1:39 pm
I have a beautiful red woven blanket that I pull over me when I read. It’s nice and soft and I love the color; but I’m sure it’s not as warm as a slanket. Honestly, I just came over to see what a slanket was and now I’m sold.

I have a Full Size Martha Steward Comforter that I have had for about 25 years…. It shows NO wear and I use it every single night. It was not expensive and why it hasn’t worn out after I use it and wash it every 2 weeks, I have no idea. It’s fluffy and soft…and well wonderful. That’s why it’s my favorite.
February 22nd, 2009 at 4:18 pm
Girl….paaaaleeeez!
I am wrapped up in my fave blanky rightnow. It is a LAMBIE and I looooooooooove it! I sleep with it….I watch tv with it…..I nap with it…..I haul it with me in the car on trips. It is my baby!
The slanket ROCKS!

Good god women, I am sorry that you have to sort through 166 comments for your contest! Mostly because that means I have a lesser chance of winning
Let me make this simple! I totally subscribe to your blog because it rocks (any extra points for flattery???)
And my favorite blanket is a fluffy pink one that my Mother-in-Law gave me for Christmas because she knows that I am always cold.
February 22nd, 2009 at 7:38 pm
OK you have convinced me… I now officially want a Slanket. In fact, if I don’t win this contest, I may just have to buy one.
My favorite blanket would have to be one I got from Bath & Body Works two Christmases ago, it is called a “Nap Blanket” and it is the SOFTEST. THING. EVER. Seriously, I can’t even tell you. It’s fantastic. But it’s way too small, it doesn’t even cover my entire body (and I’m little!). So I’d love a Slanket.
And, duh, I subscribe to you via Google Reader.
Those pictures are adorable, by the way. They definitely sold me on how great this thing really is!

If you’re asking what blanket is my favorite because of looks, I’d have to say the ‘mink’ blanket my brother sent me from Korea. It’s a beautiful rust and cream color with a large floral design on one side. However, it’s too heavy to use comfortably as a blanket.

My current favorite blanket is a khaki down throw. It is warm, but not near big enough. If I cover my body, my toes stick out and if I cover my legs, but upper body is uncovered. I read and knit, so a slanket would be my new best friend! Thanks! Staciele(at)netins(dot)net

My current favorite is a blanket that folds up into a pillow (I think they have been called Quillows). My mom made it for me years ago and it is made out of cat fabric. It’s warm, comfy, and can fold up into a pillow for when I need one of those!

Over 40 years ago I won a granny square afgan at a church bingo game and have been using it ever since. It’s permanent place is over the back of my sofa so it’s easy to pull down and cover up whenever someone needs the extra warmth. OK, so maybe I should upgrade! Well, this is my chance to do so (when I win this slanket).
Thanks.

Awesome giveaway! I have been wondering about this Slanket ever since I saw it on TV. My favorite blanket is the afgan that my grandma Rose made me years and years ago. I will keep it even when I get a Slinket because she made it with love.

My favorite blanket is a super soft light aqua one that i have draped over my big comfy reading chair. I got it because it matched my living room colors, but it turned out to be the best blankie ever!!
Thanks so much!!

My favorite blanket is one I bought in the P.I. years ago. It’s made out of fake mink and it’s so soft. Or it was until a disturbed person washed it in the washing machine!!
I stumbled you!
Thank you so very much!

My favorite blanket is a quilt that was begun by my maternal grandmother and was finished by my paternal grandmother. It’s a simple blue and white block pattern and barely big enough to cover a twin bed but it’s precious because both of these wonderful ladies worked on it to give to me. It’s a quilted piece of fabric love.

I don’t really have a favoriate blanket, just my super fuzzy robe, which keeps me warm, but I think a slanket would be soooo much warmer!
February 24th, 2009 at 9:06 am
My favorite blanket is an affghan my husbands aunt made me. I’m 36 years old, but that blanket goes with me anytime I have to go somewhere overnight…and if my kids take it..I take it right back! It’s so warm and comforting!

My favourite blanket is a fuzzy blanket my fiance “won”. A shopping center was promoting the opening of it by dropping ping pong balls from a helicopter with prizes on it. He only grabbed a salt and pepper shaker ping pong ball. (I guarantee I would have gotten more.. pinata candy is at my mercy, I’m great at grabbing prizes) He ended up trading it for the blanket ping pong ball and went to redeem it. He still has it, and it has quickly been taken by me as it’s warm and I love it.

205 comments!!! I am in aw. I also have very little chance of winning but this slanket things looks so great.
My favorite blanket is an old widow’s quilt we found in a 2nd hand store. Widow’s quilts are made of old men’s suit coats and slacks by someone whose husband has died. Mine is very warm.

My favorite blanket is no longer with us. It had a really long life but ultimately paid the price. It was a patchwork looking blanket that was so soft and cozy. After so many years, it was worn thin and sewed in so many places. Sniff Sniff

My favorite blanket is the first fleece blanket I put together. It has duckies on it.
February 24th, 2009 at 6:38 pm
I don’t have a favorite blanket that is why I need the Slanket. I guess if I had to pick it would be the one my granny made me. It is more of a quilt.
THanks for the giveaway chance.

My favorite is my flannel blanket, it feels so good
February 25th, 2009 at 7:14 am
My favourite blanket is white and has a Charlie Brown pattern printed on it.. Is that wrong
I think it might be actual vintage!
February 25th, 2009 at 7:22 am
My favorite blanket is a deep red color & made from super soft…something. lol It has a velvety texture and isn’t too heavy.
I’ve seen commercials for Slanket-like products. The hubs makes fun of them, but I could see him snuggling into it when no one was around!
February 25th, 2009 at 2:58 pm
I really would love one of these. Right now my favorite blanket is the fleece lambie one I got for Christmas from Bath and Body works
February 25th, 2009 at 4:33 pm
Mine is this small thin little throw that came with a pillow backrest….I never thought an adult would have a “blankie” but really, this is mine!
February 25th, 2009 at 9:10 pm
Wow, Trish, you’ve sure gotten a lot of comments for this giveaway! I don’t have a favourite blanket, but when I was a kid we used to have these blankets with snaps and a zipper that fit together to kinda simulate the Slanket effect (in a very rectangular fashion). We had two and we loved them! (They actually worked pretty well for watching TV.) They eventually fell apart.
Oh and of course I follow you (or am a subscriber or whatever)!

I have a light blue blankie with rainbows on it, that I snuggle up on the couch with. Hubby has a similiar one in dark blue with green robots on it. I must say, we make quite a pair, snuggled up on opposite couches, with our blankies. LOL!

My favorite blanket is a little white squishy down comforter. There is nothing better than this to get snuggly, except maybe for the Slanket! I’ve wanted one of these for so long.
Wonderful giveaway – thanks!

My blog iwth google is just getting going. No clue what I’mm doing yet in blog land. I’d love to be entered into your drawing for the Slanket. I’ve always wished there was something to keep me warm yet allow my hands to move freely and keep doing things. My all time favorite bllanket is a very very old quilt. Far warmer than quilts made these days. It is beginning to fall apart though. But I can’t give it up as it’s the only thing I’ve found to keep me warm. I have subscribed to your blog via Google Reader. Thank you so much for the opportunity to win a Slanket. Jody

My favorite blanket is one I bought out of necessity one early misty morning. I had walked to the nearby park in the shivering predawn hours of The Great Reno Balloon Race 2005 and that blanket kept me warm as I watched hundreds of hot air balloons glow before twilight, then rise into the early morning sky at daybreak. The green flannel still keeps me warm and reminds me of that magical morning from my college years.

My favorite is a pick tie fleece blanket that was a gift for my daughter when she was born. They made it plenty big so that I can wrap up in it too.

My favorite blanket is cream colored soft fleece and my son gave it to me. I need a new one, but this will always be my fave!

I have a fleece blanket that is my favorate.
March 2nd, 2009 at 7:13 pm
My favorite blanket is a double-layered fleece on that my high school best friend made me. I’ve had it for about six years now, but it’s the warmest blanket on earth because there’s an air pocket trapped between the two layers of fleece. I’m gonna crawl under it right after entering this.

My favorite blanket is a royal blue one (much like the color of yours!) in a thin polar fleece. It was a promotional item that my husband received from work, so it has the company logo emblazoned on it (that I’m not liking very much lol). It’s not quite big enough to complete wrap around me though, and as I have Raynaud’s I’m a chilly person by nature, my toes and fingers get cold quickly. I do my best with it, but would LOVE a slanket. I’m always telling my hubby that as I shiver away at the computer, or I’m trying to read or knit on the couch! Thanks for the giveaway.
